Held at Arctic Nest, a secluded retreat center surrounded by protected ancient woodland, this experience leans fully into the medicine of winter. Snow softens the landscape, silence stretches wide, and nature invites you to slow down in a way modern life rarely allows.
Through guided movement practices, meditation, journaling, and group connection, we will explore both inner and outer stillness. Balancing structured sessions with spacious free time for rest, reflection, and immerse in nature .

Accommodations:
A cozy, private cabin designed for deep rest and warmth during the winter retreat. Each cabin features natural wood interiors, a comfortable sleeping space, and your own private sauna.
Bathrooms are equipped with a walk-in shower.

A peaceful, minimalist cabin nestled within the forested grounds of Arctic Nest. These cabins offer a warm and comfortable retreat with natural finishes, serene views, and easy access to shared retreat spaces.

Modern, comfortable hotel-style rooms located on the Arctic Nest property. These rooms provide a restful and convenient option with ensuite bathrooms, clean design, and close proximity to retreat activities and shared spaces.

Room Assignments:
Rooms will be confirmed upon registration.
Please note the name(s) of anyone you would like to share your room with. All parties must complete the registration process.
If you do not allocate anyone you would like to room with empty beds will be filled with incoming registration. We will work together to assure optimal accommodations.
Payment:
A non-refundable down payment of €500 is due at time of booking to reserve your spot on this adventure.
The remainder of the payment will be due 3 months prior to the start date of the event.
Cancellation Policy:
All Hyouman Experience events are non refundable and non transferable.
The Hyouman Experience plans to lead all adventures rain or shine. We find the elements of mother nature make for the best memories.
However, if for unseen circumstances The Hyouman Experience needs to cancel the trip all payments will be refunded.
If The Hyouman Experience needs to postpone the trip and the new date is not accommodating, all payments will be refunded with the exception of of $150.
Travel Parameters:
Arriving to Finland:
Flights from the US to the capital of Finland, Helsinki (HEL) will be most accommodating. From there you will book a connecting flight to Kajaani (KAJ). From Kajaani airport we will provide group transportation to Arctic Nest, just a short, one hour drive.
Group transportation included in the retreat investment will leave from Kajaani Airport on Saturday, February 13th between 3:30 and 4:00pm. There is one flight from Helsinki to Kajaani on this day. It departs at 1:00pm and arrives in KAJ at 2:20pm.
Noteworthy:
We recommend traveling our a few days early to enjoy the city of Helsinki, allow time to acclimate and to travel with ease! Our hosts recommended staying in the city center (of Helsinki) to enjoy the city before venturing our into the woods.
If you do decide to arrive early to stay in Helsinki, you will still have fly to Kajaani for the 13th of February.
Alternatively you can enjoy a train ride from Helsinki to a train station about 35 minutes from the retreat center. The train ride is 6-7 hours, direct. The train ride is not included in the retreat registration and accommodations will have to be made to get from the train station to the retreat location. We are happy to help you set this up.
Departing from Finland:
Group transportation included in the retreat investment will leave from the retreat center to the Kajaani Airport on Friday the 19th between 9:00am - 10:00am as directed by our retreat hosts to allow us to arrive in plenty of time to. take the flight from Kajaani to Helsinki for our connecting flights home.
Noteworthy:
There are two flights the will take you from Kajaani to Helsinki on the 19th of February. We will plan to be there in time for the first departure at 1:05pm (the second flight is currently scheduled for 720pm).
Travel Tips
JFK has direct flights to HEL for those flying from the Northeast.
Finnair is the main airline that you will want to book your flight from HEL to KAJ.

Always plan for the best and always plan smart. We highly recommend covering your event with trip insurance. The Hyouman Experience does not provide travel insurance.
For domestic travel, we recommend Travelex, they have affordable and customizable insurance plans to assure you travel domestically with ease.
For International travel, Allianz Travel has customizable plans for travel disruptions, medical emergencies and even offers upgrades for a required to work disruption.
